REPORTS TO: Outbound Delivery Processing Manager
CONTEXT:
Nigeria is currently the world’s No. 1 market for the Guinness Brand. Guinness Nigeria has recently increased its current capacity and
this initiative has increased the company’s supply chain responsibility.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
• To be the internal point of contact for the resolution and release of documents blocked during the billing process.
• Ensure billing documents are processed, archived and mailed.
• To carry out all hands on distribution and data processing activities so as to fully support packaging department and deliver against orders to GN customers and distribution centres while ensuring effective and efficient Inventory management standards are maintained
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Receive, store, record and issue all outward goods (fulls and empties) and scheduling, loading of all outward goods (fulls and empties) in line with issuance/despatch instructions.
• Reconcile physical stock to the inventory listing balance in SAP system daily, weekly and monthly
• Prepare and circulate all periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) inventory reports
• Process distribution documents in SAP and reconcile sales despatch figures and reports to physical stock while ensuring that customer credit limits are not exceeded.
• Maintain compliance with statutory, GNPLC and Diageo standards in warehousing, physical distribution and inventory management
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• B.Sc./HND calibre
•  Computer literate and ability to work under pressure and respond to tight deadlines.
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in a related, operations or inventory management role
• Good interpersonal skills, convincing personality and a team player.
• Good Communicator, commercially aware and able to adapt to a fast changing operations environment
• Should be able to develop and maintain warehousing and inventory management best practices in accordance with Diageo warehouse management standards.
• Fully conversant with inventory management processes using SAP.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

• Develops, manages and implements an integrated communication strategy

• Responsible for the development, management and evaluation of communication initiatives in line with plan e.g. weekly newsletter, leadership communications and project communications
• Participates actively in crisis teams, ensuring communication plans are up to date
• Manages a robust and integrated employee communications forum to facilitate sharing of best practice, cross-functional working and management of timely corporate and brand communication(s)

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor degree and post graduate qualification in PR, marketing or journalism is preferable
• Minimum 8 years experience working at a strategic level on business or brand related communications
• Superior writing and oral communication skills
• Proven track record of managing communication’s issues in a sensitive / controversial environment
• Proven track record in communications and communication strategy development
• Capable of leading the communications planning process and facilitating broader involvement in this process
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Line manager experience and a track record of leading, developing & coaching a team

DIMENSIONS
a) Financial: Partly responsible for adding value to the supply chain by ensuring excellent customer service to customers and minimum cost in line with the brewery distribution budget.
b) Market Complexity: Sophisticated and highly competitive market with multinational players that require a high level of inventory and warehouse management expertise that will enable us to gain and maintain competitive edge over competition
c) Leadership Responsibilities: Should be able to develop and maintain warehousing and inventory management best practices in accordance with Diageo warehouse management standards. Take leadership and develop a high performance team culture in warehousing, inventory management and customer service.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Management of inventory and control of fulls and empties and accountable for the efficient receipt of products to achieve set objectives and ensuring fraud-free distribution operations
• Responsible for ensuring efficient support to packaging lines with empties and provision of adequate storage space for packaged products
• Manage vehicle utilization and efficiency to achieve target turn-round and journey times in the breweries to maximize operational efficiency to support the downstream supply chain activities
• Develop and closely follow up on the training and development needs of his / her team in order to enhance and embed productivity in the warehouse in line with departmental objectives
• Responsible for the effective management and prompt handling of customer complaints and sales / marketing related issues
• Manage compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) with internal and external customers
• Implement and monitor waste minimization initiatives
